disCard calculates sourdough discard recipes. It has no accounts and no sign-in, and the recipe calculations happen on your device.
What is stored
- Your starter size and settings, favorite recipes, bake journal entries and feeding log are stored only on your device (in your browser's storage on the website, or in the app's storage in the app). We never receive them.
- Clearing your browser data, or uninstalling the app, deletes that information unless it has been backed up as described below.
The website: advertising
- The website shows ads served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies or similar identifiers to show and measure ads, including personalised ads where you consent or where the law allows.
- Where required (for example the EEA, UK and Switzerland) you will be asked for consent before such ads are personalised, and you can change your choice later from the same message.
- You can manage ad personalisation at adssettings.google.com or opt out at aboutads.info. See how Google uses information from sites that use its services.
The app
- The app contains no ads, no analytics and no trackers, and it sends no data to us.
- Backup: the app saves a private backup file of your favorites, journal and settings. Android can include this file in your Google account backup, and iPhone in your iCloud backup, according to your phone's backup settings. That copy is held by Google or Apple under their terms, not by us.
- Notifications: feeding reminders are scheduled on your phone. They do not use a server.
